Shawn M. Moore | CPD
An Uptown man is facing multiple felony charges after witnesses reported seeing a group of men walking down the street with guns while filming a video on Wednesday evening.

Police said callers reported seeing a group of men, including three who were armed with handguns, walking in the 4700 block of North Winthrop while recording themselves on video around 6:45 p.m. Officers said about ten men ran from the scene as they arrived and police began chasing one man who was seen with a gun, according to CPD.

Cops caught up with 20-year-old Shawn M. Moore in the 4400 block of North Racine after a short foot pursuit. A loaded handgun and laser sight were recovered, police said.

Prosecutors charged Moore with felony unlawful use of a weapon on school or park grounds; felony possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owner’s ID (FOID) card; possession of a laser sight; and possession of ammunition without a FOID.

Terms of his bail were not immediately available, but Cook County records show that he is no longer in custody.
