The Loyola University graduate student who was found dead in his dorm room on the school’s downtown campus this month committed suicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

Police launched a death investigation after the 26-year-old man was found with multiple lacerations on his neck on the 22nd-floor room of Baumhart Hall, 26 East Pearson, around 4:15 p.m. on May 1st.

The medical examiner has ruled that the man died of self-inflicted stab wounds, according to newly-released information.
