Boystown Burglar Caught Red-Handed, Cops Say

Andrew Allison is accused of burglarizing a home in the 700 block of Buckingham on Monday.
A sharp-eyed neighbor and a quick police response combined to put a Boystown burglar behind bars Monday evening, prosecutors and cops say.

Tactical units responded after a resident reported seeing a stranger kick in the back door of a home in the 700 block of West Buckingham around 7:30 p.m., according to court records.

Officers arrived in time to catch 29-year-old Andrew Allison of Philadelphia hauling a 32-inch TV out of the house, prosecutors said. Police say they found methamphetamine in Allison’s pocket during a search.

  1. While the bond is low, at least the charge is residential burglary. Now let's hope it is not suddenly reduced to a criminal trespass and theft of mislaid property.

  2. Non-violent offender=immediate release=repeat offender

  3. I'm sure he'll come back from Philly for trial.

  4. This is sad. A 32 inch television? Burglary is a symptom of the drug epidemic.

  5. He has supplied the Chicago Police with an old address. His current address is 1317 Irving Street Philadelphia PA 19107. More than one year old. I would think that this would effect the conditions of his bail. More deceitful conduct. He runs around Philadelphia telling everyone he is a lawyer. In fact, he is not and never has been a lawyer. Just another meth head/aging club boy who is flushing his life down the drain
