Man Gets Kicked Out Of Uptown McDonald's, Shot

You deserve a break today, but this guy doesn't.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the leg Thursday afternoon, moments after getting kicked out of the Uptown McDonald's at 1004 West Wilson. He is in good condition.

The victim is a documented gang member, convicted felon, and drug dealer who is known to the neighborhood, according to a source.

McDonald's management barred the man from the restaurant's property due to his conduct, but he returned yesterday around 3 p.m.  After a security guard asked the man to leave, he stepped outside and was shot.

Less than a month ago, the man was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, Category I armed violence, and manufacture-delivery of cocaine in Uptown. He is free on bond.

  2. Curious if it was a cash bond or I-bond? Either way he should not have been granted a bond at all and should have been held in the jail.

  6. Ill bet we are unanimous on this blog. STOP releasing felons invoved with guns. Ill bet we are all tired of saying it. The winds of justice won't change until a law and order leader emerges.

    1. "A law and order leader emerges" .... hmm, well .... Tunney, Capplemans, Rahm, and the current/previous police chief didn't emerge ... I'm not terribly optimistic for any time soon. :(

    2. That would go against County Board President Preckwinkle and her States Attorney Kim Foxx's agenda.

    1. And Uptown was the joke of the city. There's another one on DNA info bragging he just bought a condo there, has invested in the area and he, along with the new "market rate" apartments down the street" are going to "turn the neighborhood around".
