A 22-year-old woman is charged with two misdemeanors after dead dogs were allegedly found in a Lakeview apartment.

Christina Laskero is accused of cruelty to animals and failure to perform animal owner duties, police said.

On the Friday before Christmas, a building engineer who was working to fix a leak entered an apartment on the seventh floor at 505 West Belmont, according to court records and a police source.

Inside, the worker found “two dead dogs and deplorable conditions.”

Laskero is free on bond.

  1. I wonder how many human bones they'd find in that 8 story whore house/drug den if they took a closer look. The residents used to throw their garbage roghywout the windowsand neither the city nor yoyr alderman would do anything about it.

  5. In some more reasonable states she/he/it would get prison time (more than 2 years). Chicago is a crime-haven created by criminals and continues to coddle criminals. Believe it or not, Sydney Australia is actually a little worse. I lived there for 3 years and was disgusted with what I saw. Apart from the organized crime and refugee crisis, there's stray dogs and now it's okay to kill them--due to PC. At least Sydney has palm trees though, although not indigenous. But then neither are the ones in California.
