No one is in custody for the crimes
Police believe the same offenders are responsible for the three armed robberies, but the fourth case is unrelated.
Two of the cases occurred within Wrigleyville and Boystown, where October has seen an average of one robbery per day.
Three Armed Robberies• Around 4:05 a.m., a woman told police that several young men tried to rob her at gunpoint near Nelson and Ravenswood. The victim, who was driving at the time, sped from the scene and called for help from a nearby service station.

• A second woman reported a robbery about 45 minutes later in Wrigleyville. That victim told police that four offenders took her phone and her purse at gunpoint while she stood at a bus stop in the 800 block of West Sheridan.
Police tracked pings from her phone to the 900 block of West Belmont, but officers did not find the offenders.
The victim provided descriptions that were similar to those given by the first woman.
• Finally, at 5:20 a.m., a woman was robbed at gunpoint of her purse and phone by three teenagers in the 500 block of West Briar. As in the two earlier robberies, a teen in a red hoodie pulled out a handgun in the company of at least two other teens, the victim said. The muggers were last seen running westbound on Briar toward Broadway.
Fourth CaseThe fourth incident is not believed to be related to the other three robberies. A man was beaten and robbed by two offenders in the 3500 block of North Halsted near Hydrate Nightclub around 1:15 a.m.
The victim said that a black man and another black man dressed as a woman beat him up and took $40. An ambulance crew treated the victim for his injuries.
