A Boystown bank was robbed Saturday afternoon by a man who also robbed a Near North Side bank last month, according to the FBI.
The offender walked into Fifth Third Bank at 3601 N. Broadway and handed a hold-up note to the teller just before 2PM on Saturday, police said.
He took the note back, pocketed $700 of the bank's money, and was last seen walking southbound on Broadway, according to a witness.
The same man also robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 29 W. Division on July 12, the FBI said.
They describe the suspect as a thin black man in his late 50's or early 60's who stands about 5'6" tall. He wore a large wig and a hat in both heists, according to police.
A reward is being offered for information that leads to the suspect's capture. Tips may be relayed to the FBI's Chicago office at 312.421.6700.
