Man Killed In Triple-Shooting Identified

Chicago police have identified the man who died in a triple-shooting incident Friday evening less than a half-mile from Rahm Emanuel's home.

Pablo Ulloa, 25, allegedly opened fire and struck two men during a "party" inside an apartment at Damen and Belle Plaine. Police say one of the two men returned fire, fatally striking Ulloa in the chest.

Ulloa (second from right) and friends throw up crowns on the lakefront.
As CWB Chicago reported exclusively yesterday morning, Ulloa was a known member of the Latin Kings street gang who frequented the area of Lawrence and Kedzie.

Indeed, Ulloa—who police say lived near Lawrence and Whipple—used the name "LatinKing HoyneGang" on Facebook. His profile picture shows Ulloa throwing up gang signs with friends as they sit on the North Side's lakefront seawall.

Slightly—but only slightly—more subtle is Ulloa's Facebook cover photo. It's this publicity still from Al Pacino's 1983 movie Scarface.  For the unfamiliar, IMDB summarizes the Scarface plot as "a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug cartel while succumbing to greed."

    1. How mature of you. Have you thought about thr individuals family. Have some respect for his family. When you pass away I hope individuals have nothing but negative comments about yourself.

    2. @ Always: Bullshit. Ulloa messed with the bull, he gets the horns.

    3. @ALWAYS: I thought about his family and how they raised a piece of shit kid. They deserve no respect.

    4. The family is the first thing I thought about. I thought about the shame they must feel to have a Latin King drug dealing member as a relative… but from the sound of it – they didn’t seem to mind.

  2. Always fun stuff to check out shitheads like this and their Facebook profiles. Just go through their Friends and quickly scan dozens of gangbanging pieces of shit with their stupid fucking tear tattoos doing their stupid fucking gang symbols. I hope at some point in the future the FBI and police come up with a foolproof RICO-type statute that makes simply advertising membership in a gang a felony.

    1. Hey, thanks. We know. Allow us to use our brain cells in lieu of the ones that you lack.

He moved to the area of Lawrence and Kedzie after getting out of prison three years ago. Unlike precising individuals such as yourself, he apparently didn't think that updating his Facebook name was a top priority for his life.

    2. Damn anonymous, anger issues much, Gangs often have different sets and can change crews when they move, as CWB just stated. Man, dampening my celebration over here

  4. The "LatinKings hoynegang" Facebook page has "friends" who are a bunch of ignorant, useless losers. We Laughed Out Loud at the photo of all the sneakers and the caption "You can have all these if you work hard..." (with their crimes being their "work.")

    1. You sound ignorant. Some people actually "work" as in noncrime activities. For, yes shoes!

    2. Yeah - he died selling drugs. I'm pretty sure that makes you sound like the ignorant one, "Always".

    3. Yes, you're right, some do LEGITIMATED work for their shoes, such as myself. Until you show me Pablo's pay stub, I'll let his Facebook and location at the night of his demise speak for his poor soul. You're also right, some people are ignorant... God forbid you look in the mirror

    4. Always, how did you know Pablo?? And where did he work? What kind of work do you do if you don't mind my asking?

    5. I wonder if the two other guys who he shot were among his "friends".

  5. So Facebook allows thugs like these to advertise their gang activity on their sites, but you're banned if you post a picture of the American flag or a woman's tit while breastfeeding? Welcome to America 2016!

  6. I love how CWB has an open source intelligence collection apparatus, whereas the press simply quotes family often saying, "he was an aspiring rapper trying to go to college, he wasn't in no gang" and show his 9th grade cap-n-gown photo.

  7. We all hear how social media is instrumental in the communications of terrorists and gangs. Yet Facebook does nothing when it is obvious that this is a gang's Facebook page and all their "friends" are flashing gang signs.

  8. Fuck all of you at the end of the day pablo was a human being regardless of his gang afliations. He was a caring and loving person. Who would never put harm on another individual unless he was being attacked. You judge by pictires and social media. You do not know him and his family doesnt appreciate you talking negative about him. He is no longer with us to defend himself. So all you coward ass individuals that are "grown" and keep your comments to yourself. May you rest in paradise pablo.

    4. Sorry for all the ugliness, Always. Yes, he was a human being. Whatever was going on that night wasn't right, but I'd be willing to bet no one posting on this site has ever made a less than ideal decision, and no one knows all the exact details, so could we all get off our high horses already? The guy's dead - he could've been your brother/cousin/whatever.
Is saying he deserved to die okay for you (other posters), but not for him - especially if he WAS defending himself?

    5. He was a piece of garbage who turned his own life into shit and caused immeasurable pain and suffering among innocent people who he came into contact with. May he burn in Hell.

    6. "would never put harm on another individual"????? HE is the one who opened fire and shot 2 others before they killed him. You are a moron for defending him. He got what he deserved. Hopefully the same will happen to the other slugs in his gang.

    8. When someone is firing a gun in the neighborhood where my family lives, he's not caring and loving, as bullets go through walls and windows and hit children and other innocents. To one of your other points, we "cowards" don't go around shooting people we have arguments with. Proud of it, too. Watch who you turn into a hero. Heroes have standards.

    10. Live the life, throw the signs, post shit all over facebook acting tough and hardcore and all nigga/gangsta/shawty whatever the hell else I don't understand or can't use properly, because it is not proper English, then well, reap the rewards. Get the $ while you can seems to be the mantra. Maybe because life is really fleeting when you live that lifestyle? Please, don't come here bitching when that lifestyle so willingly participated in takes a life. Defending himself or not, had he NOT been at a gangbanger party, not dealing drugs, well, then, we might be able to talk and your argument might have some merit. But, then again, what innocent person walks into a party looking to make deal? Innocents don't do that. Innocents also don't participate in gang life.

STFU and get the Hell out of my neighborhood. I'm working to get your half exposed ass out. Hard. Even if my alderman and the mayor is not.

    11. Well I can surely say with a smile on my face As the sister to the two victims I HOPE THIS POS ROTS IN HELL, and as far as I'm concerned he got the easy way out he should've died a slow and painful death. Family should be thankful that his face didn't get get blown off like I wish it would've and that they can still have an open casket because that piece of shit don't deserve funeral as far as I'm concerned!!! "I should go to the wake and give his mama dead flowers" I'm sorry his family is hurt but mabey just mabey if he didn't think it was ok to go around trying to kill people they wouldn't have anyone to mourn !' In the Lords name amen !! #JustKeepingItReal 💯💯💯 #ScumbagPos He WASN'T DEFENDING himself!!! he was NOT an innocent victim !!! he was but a gang banging muderer that was trying to kill my BLOODE execution style and died because he was trying to kill other people that were defending themselves against him !! So I don't know what your definition of defending himself is but you should probably look that phrase up in the dictionary !!

I do love the 'You didn't know him / He had friends and family.' argument. That's a rare work of genius.
Guess what. Here's a list of other people, with family, friends and supporters too:
      James 'Whitey' Bulger
      Sheriff Eugene 'Bull' Connor
William Pierce and Erich Gliebe (Just in case it's confusing, you probably shouldn't consider The National Alliance a good fit for you.)
      Paul Joseph Goebbels
Byron De La Beckwith, Jr. Look it up.
      Frank Nitti
      We could go on here.

'At the end of the day' they're all human beings. Right. So what. They are / were all thugs too. Narcissists, sociopaths, thugs and dipshits. With families and friends. Just like your buddy in the pics.

I give two shits about them unless they were innocent people. Show me the good Pablo did in his life. Guarantee you he "violated" people in his own gang and has been involved in gang fights. Spare me the sympathy card, the world is better off. Don't admit the truth...coward

    20. Always, you'll get little sympathy from this crowd. "The family doesn't appreciate people talking negative about him"? Hey, guess what... The neighbors don't appreciate gang members bringing drugs into the neighborhood and shooting up the place (whether he was invited to the "party" or not)!

I do have some sympathy for those caught up in the gang lifestyle. It may seem glamorous, but clearly it's not the best or safest way to live. Frankly, it endangers the community and that's why the rest of the community members frown upon it. I encourage you, Always, if you know people still in that lifestyle, to help them get out of it. Let his death serve as something of a wake up call and maybe even prompt a change for the better in someone.

    21. Dear SISTER of the Two victims. Where do YOU live? The boys and I am calling them boys who live in that apartment are a plague to the neighborhood. They have been nothing but loud horrible drunken obnoxious disrespectful people who act like their mama's did not teach them any manners. There was a party in the apt or the apt next door almost every weekend- The tentants of the building frequently called the police and the Landlord. The people in neighboring buildings often called as well. They left their garbage in the front hall and spilling down the back steps. It was like a giant clubhouse with little concern for anyone in the area. A father was putting his baby to bed two units away when the shooting happened. Those apartments are about 600 square feet- The fact that ANYONE had a gun let alone two guns in that space is so outrageous. The Neighborhood would like your "BROTHERS" to go far far away and take their poor choices with them. I'd love to speak to their mothers to tell them what horrible little selfish boys they raised. It is unbelievable that a person is dead and two wounded over what???? YOU may consider them victims but this was bound to happen- Those boys were on a road to nowhere fast. THE VICTIMS are the people who had to deal with this because of your BROTHERS horrible choices. I hope to GOD they get charged with something and go to JAIL. The made life HELL on that corner. And if you happen to know the very loud always drunk blond girlfriend of one of them tell her to get the fuck out too.

  9. Pablo and his fellow thugs wouldn't think twice about stealing from us, beating us up, or killing us in the streets just for the hell of it or so they can get their hands on a few bucks to feed their useless lifestyle. Those that prey on others via crime are a cancer on society and deserve to be rotting in hell along with Pablo.

  13. I'm not sure which is more laughable -- this gangbanging thug's goofy photos, or all his gang-banging friends coming here to post about how we should all feel sympathy for this "loving" dude and his "family." Sorry, losers, but by choosing a life of gang violence, this scumbag demonstrated to the whole world that he cared nothing for anyone or anything -- he was a direct threat to the safety of the community, a menace to all decent people, and a worthless POS. Good riddance to one more piece of gang-banging garbage. The only tragedy here is that a lot more of these gang-banging losers didn't get taken out with him.

  14. The Sun Times wrote that Pablo shot first.
Sounds like a pretty crappy human being.

  15. I'm always amazed when "family" and "friends" expect so much respect and sympathy for the gangbanger dead. Their lives mattered, we're told. They wouldn't hurt nobody, we're told. Most often, we're told they were just getting their life turned around. Anyway, tell that to the victims of that "lifestyle" -- especially the many innocent bystanders who get slaughtered. Tell that to the true owners of the neighborhood -- the small businesses, long-standing home owners, and others who get decimated when gangs stupidly "claim" territory as their own (despite never having owned it legally). People like Pablo deserve to be in prison at minimum -- he is among a special breed of domestic terrorists who endanger more lives in our country than ISIS or Al Qaeda ever could. Good riddance to him. Maybe his brethren will learn from his mistake(s).

  18. Putting gang banging and homicide aside for a moment...

Who are the young people that have a party like this and "call their dealer". What kind of drugs are these people using? Who's the bro with the scarf cuffed in the pictures? So many questions. It's the demand side of the drug equation that partially fuels the gang activity and it's extremely disappointing.

I hope some people were arrested for possession. But I'm afraid that the response time was long enough to allow a lot of people to dump the evidence.

Seriously, young kids on drugs: get help. Your "fun" causes shit like this to go down.
