BIG & LITTLE: Wanted In Boystown Bank Robbery, Woman Strikes Again In Edgewater

The FBI says a floppy-hatted woman who robbed the TCF Bank branch inside of Boystown's Jewel-Osco store on August 5 held up another bank Friday in Edgewater.

Friday's robbery targeted the TCF Bank branch inside of the Jewel-Osco store at 5343 N. Broadway around 3:50PM.

As she did in Boystown, the woman presented a note in which she implied that she was armed with a gun. No firearm was seen in either incident.

Video of the latest hold-up shows the woman wearing a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, a gray dress, and what appears to be a blonde wig. The FBI estimates that the woman stands 5'3" tall, weighs 200 pounds, and is between 30- and 40-years-old.

Investigators questioned a person of interest in the Boystown robbery after following pings from a tracking device that was hidden in the bank's cash. The investigation did not pan out.

  1. Well since she feels entitled to other people's money, why don't we all just contribute $100 each to her funding campaign? After all I'm sure she's a fine woman who's reached the magic point of turning her life around. Plus her sense of fashion (floppy hat) is to be commended. Maybe she could even get a free ride to some local university to get a taxpayer-paid degree in fashion design.

  3. She reminds me of a scene from "Tootsie":
Director: "I'd like to make her look a little more attractive, how far can you pull the camera back?"
    Cameraman: "How about Cleveland?"
