  1. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/01/20/man-carjacked-in-broad-daylight-in-lincoln-park/

CBS did a story on this but said it was in Lincoln Park. Wrong! They don't bother to report a description of the criminals. How is this helpful to others? Again, we would know nothing without you guys here on this blog! Thank you!!!

  2. I guess the 2 thugs were tired of jogging and wanted to drive.

  3. Thanks to CWB for reporting more info than we get from anywhere else. That said, the victim reporting that it was two white guys in jogging suits - um, really? Age estimate? Any other identifying details? Jeez. That's not very helpful, considering people can change their clothes quickly. A comment from a while back about taking note of footwear if possible seems useful, considering criminals may change clothes but not footwear.

And please note that I'm not trying to attack the victim, I just wish there was a better description for the police and concerned citizens to note. I'm terribly sorry for what happened - I live about 2 blocks away, so I'm VERY CONCERNED TOO.

  4. I live in North Center; moved out of Lakeview (Belmont & Seminary) in 2002, and it was the best decision I ever made. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Well, maybe not so much any more.

Now it looks like the shit show is gradually making its way west. More and more of this crime is infiltrating the area. These criminals are becoming more bold and brazen every day because they know there aren't enough cops and they can get away with it.

It's an election year, and folks better hold Rahm, Aldermans Pawar, Tunney, Smith, etc. accountable.
