HELLO, GOODBYE: iPhone Swiped From Southport Home

To the list of places that you should not have your cell phone exposed in Lake view, you may now add this: Your home.

A woman called 911 shortly before 10 o'clock this morning to report that a teenager had just come into her house and stolen her iPhone, iPod, and a charger. She had the back door open to let in some fresh air.

The victim, who lives in the 3900 block of Southport, described the offender as male, black, 14- to 17-year-old, with short hair. He wore baggy pants, a red and white baseball cap, and he was carrying a bowl.

He was last seen heading westbound in the alley behind Byron with the victim's charger dangling from his hand.

Recorded as a burglary in CPD case HX309748.
