MINOR MIRACLE: 12 Cops To Be Transferred INTO 19th District

The latest round of transfer opportunities within the Chicago Police
Department shows 12 rare openings in our severely understaffed
district.

The Chicago Police Department on Friday posted 12 openings for officers who would like to transfer into the 19th district.

Eleven of our officers have transferred out of the 19th district already this year, so the incoming cops will bring us back up to where we started 2014.

Even with the replenishment, our district's manpower has been cut by roughly 25% since October of 2011.

The department would need to transfer in an additional 112 officers to bring us back to the level of protection we received just 2 years ago.

  1. 2015 general election is approaching.
Primary challenges to Tunney and Rahmy are even closer, which is really the only way to get rid of them.
Republicans, with their hateful wedge issues, cannot win a general election race for Dog Catcher in Chicago

    1. Continue to vote along party lines instead of looking at the candidate and you can continue to be a part of the problem.

    2. and if all you "vote democrat no matter what" types keep doing that, in a few years all you will be worried about is getting anything resembling a decent price for your property because by that time the city will have completed its shift into full death spiral, with all the responsible parties(aldercreatures, state pols, mayors and their financial supporters etc) already screeching down any road out of town with the proceeds from their crimes, and there you are with no paddle or bucket to bail with.

    1. And if you click your heals together three times you might get back to Kansas! For every one of you who say Rahm will lose, Rahm will win in a landslide. Period. Why? Because it's the Chicago way and voters here have proven dumb for over a half a century

  4. Unfortunately the majority of voters in Chicago and Cook County are morons and keep voting for the politicians that make their lives worse by the day. But hey, at least you don't have those mean old nasty republicans in office so you are really showing them lol. Complete insanity.

  5. Zero other Northside districts open for bid, 35st doesn't want anyone else leaving the lopsided 019th district.
