BUSINESS ALERT: Break-In Pattern Identified, Police Say

Area North detectives have issued an alert to business owners after four businesses were burglarized by offenders who broke in through the establishments' glass. The full alert may be read on Alderman Tom Tunney's site HERE.

One of the business burglaries identified in the CPD alert is located in our neighborhood.

The front door glass of Wellington Cleaners, 3011 N. Halsted, was found broken around 4AM Monday as CWB reported yesterday morning.

The other three businesses listed in the alert are located in nearby areas of Lincoln Park.

On November 6, CWB reported on a string of overnight break-ins in which burglars entered Windy City Gyros, a Wrigleyville Subway restaurant, and a Southport corridor dry cleaners. That report is HERE.

  1. Windy City Gyros - CPD loves that place. They now have extra incentive to catch this group of bandits!

    1. Well crime is still rampant around the 7-11 on Broadway and the Melrose Diner just up the way. What would their "incentive" be?

I would have NEVER guessed Chicagos lakefront living was like this.
