HIP, MOD, AND SO FLY: CWB Gets A Facebook Page

Just in time for the new year, CWB has established a Facebook page. We heard that this "social media" thing may take off and we wanted to get in on the ground floor.

The FB page will make it easier for you to catch the newest CWB posts and share important stories with your connections.

Head on over and "Like" us, if you'd like.

The page is in an experimental stage as we determine if it's an appropriate step.

  1. Oh boy, I'm sure the comments section will be quite colorful :-)

However, it's a great way to reach out to a lot more people. 2014 needs to be the year of taking back our neighborhood.

    1. And THAT is the reason for the age being in an experimental stage.

    1. Vote with your head, not your heart. Just because you or I may be gay doesn't necessarily mean a gay leader is the most suitable.

  3. Before I discovered this Blog, there was another Facebook page about the crime issue, and it broke down into a racist hate talk and fights, and accomplished nothing.

    1. We are aware, Anonymous. Just as in our blog comments section, we will not tolerate hate and racism on FB. If it gets to be too much work, we'll just turn the FB comments off.

  4. Bad move. If you think you moderate/delete too many comments now.........

Shit, Twitter would have been a better decision so we could get instant info on where NOT to be at any given moment.

  5. What you really need is to be on the news once a week giving updates. And the Windy City Times. Oh that's right, none of them can think unless Rahm tells them what to say. Oh well lol.

    1. Happy New Year. Best of luck with our new communications source. I truly do wish you and your team and of course us folks out here in crime country, that your FB page will be helpful to all of us. Great work and thank you.

    2. Thank you, Anonymous. We can't thank you and so many of our neighbors for taking up the crime issue and starting the process of holding people responsible and making our neighborhood great again.

  6. hey CWB, excellent move and you'll reach way more people. probably a wider audience than the tiny dancer and McBlowhard will be comfortable with..but dont back down if that 5th floor skid mark tries to pressure you, dont sell out like the local media has, except for Ben Jovarsky. you rock CWB, keep it up.
