NOT IN IOWA ANYMORE: Woman's Car Stolen On Barry

UPDATE: This vehicle was recovered by Chicago Police on the evening of October 30, 2013

A suburban woman is going to have a heck of a time getting around after her car was stolen from the 700 block of W. Barry this morning.

The theft was an easy job for the perpetrator since the car keys were left inside of the vehicle, which is described as a black 2008 Honda CRV with Illinois plates and a University of Iowa license plate frame.

The victim walked (obviously) to the 19th district station and filed a report at 6:45 this morning

Auto theft case report #HW508956.

  1. She evidently also didn't know how dangerous it was to walk from Barry to the 19th district station at 6:00AM.

  2. I wonder what the insurance company does in cases like this, do they pay off, or just roll their eyes?

  3. Yes, they pay off. It used to be your deductible was doubled in cases like this. They can non-renew you however.
