  1. Surprise surprise.. We made the news again on channel 2. Would have been nice if the reporter tried
to interview the alderman and the commander for their story and hold them accountable. I hate to say it, but the reporters are spineless, just like Tunney.

  2. I just watched the clip on CBS. I wish they focused more on the pervasive crime than the martial arts class. Having said that, anything that brings light to the gravity of our situation is a good thing.

  3. Yikes. I live on the 900 block of Roscoe. Do we know for sure that this is where the crime took place, or is that simply the picture you opted to use?

    Thanks.

  4. Hi Anonymous,

The robbery occurred outside of 917 W. Roscoe. It's the building on the left in the photo.

  5. Unfortunately during those hours this is all too common it's so sad. Drove upon two different gatherings of the CPD today.

Saw 3 individuals (in their early 20's at most) stopped by 2 cops around 4:30 this morning at the intersection of Seminary & Belmont with their hands laid out on the police car.

Then around 2:00 this afternoon there was at least 5 cops and as many cars at the intersection of Kenmore and Belmont one block east of this mornings incident.

While it's good to see the police presence in the area, I hope these incidents weren't nearly as serious as this case.

  6. 900 block of Roscoe Anonymous here again. The frequency with which this crap is happening is quite disturbing.

CIB, thanks for the additional information and, more generally, all of your work on this blog.
