LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: Addison Mom & Pop Shop Robbed

It doesn't get much bolder than this.

The green dot on this Google satellite image is in front of the 19th district police station.

The red dot marks Addison Liquors, 932 W. Addison.

At 7:45 Monday night, a guy walked into Addison Liquors, blasted a clerk with pepper spray, grabbed some cigarettes, and then escaped by walking east, right past the 19th district police station.

Officers searched the area for the offender without success. He is described as a male, black, 25-30 years old, 5'9" tall, about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, blue short-sleeved shirt, and blue jeans.

CPD case #HW444941

All possibilities, for sure. However, all would require him to get to Addison and Fremont since he fled to the east. Still, a bold target selection.

  3. I used to work at the police HQ @35th as an intern. This was about a decade ago. There were muggings and thefts on a routine basis. The pan handlers would be right at the building entrance! The thugs don't give a damn about police presence as they know there are no reprucions for their actions.

Its unfortunate that this south side crime is in lakeview now. Tunney and Voulgaris are clearly not in control and need to be fired.

Wow, so brazen or maybe just stupid.

This thug reminds of the viral video "Honey Badger don't give a $%*# !!"

  5. Sounds like another CTA bulletin is in order! I know everyone who works at that store and would love to help identify the perp.
