COPS CONFIRM: "Two Thugs One Gun" Bandits Struck On Mayor's Home Turf

Extra officers line the sidewalk outside of Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home on N. Hermitage Avenue during a special event.
How about that? The CPD and CWB have found something we can agree on when it comes to robberies.

The guys who pulled off a robbery at gunpoint half a block from the Mayor's house Thursday night were the widely-publicized "Two Thugs One Gun" offenders. The difference, of course, is that it took the police department four extra days to tell you.

WGN picks up the story tonight. Expect others to do so as well.

So far, no report has mentioned that the "1700 W. Cuyler" occurrence is 300 feet from Rahm's police-protected front door.

CWB's interactive map of these robberies is available online.

  1. Surprising that big bad anti-gun Rahm would allow so many armed people outside his house. How dangerous!

It's a shame the rest of us can't protect ourselves in the city.
