NO OFFENDER. NO VICTIM. ONE HERO: Robbery Attempt Fails; Cops Return Stolen Property

We want to buy this guy a stiff glass of milk.

A robbery witness called 911 from the corner of Sheffield and School, one block north of the infamous Belmont and Sheffield intersection at 2:05 this morning.

The caller chased after the offender, described only as a person in a black hoodie, leading the thug to drop the victim's wallet on the street.

Before long, the courageous caller realized that he was alone on the street, with the victim and the offender long gone.

Police arrived quickly, inventoried the wallet and its contents, then tracked down the victim's sister to a nearby home where a property reunion was arranged.

It is not clear if a robbery report will be filed in this matter.

  1. It's absolutely remarkable how many crimes happen on just a few blocks, isn't it?

I think you meant to say, 'the same blocks?" :)

  3. I know the waiting is hard because COD is so overloaded but unless theses crimes are reported by the victims we cannot get a true number of crimes and a basis for pressure on hiring more cops.
