STABBED: Belmont Lunacy Culminates in Knife Attack

Predictably, Belmont Avenue near Sheffield Avenue became a free-for-all early this morning, with one stabbing, two robberies at ATMs, and at least two severe beatings being reported.

It all started shortly before 4 o'clock when a man, bleeding heavily from his head, approached an officer on patrol just east of the Belmont Red Line station to report that he had been attacked on the street. One offender was arrested for battery at the Subway restaurant, 901 W. Belmont. An ambulance was later called to the 19th district police station to treat the victim's injuries. Chicago Police Department case #HW329894.

Then, a flurry of reports came in of fighting under and east of the Belmont Red Line station, culminating in a stabbing around 4:24AM outside of Clarke's Diner, 930 W. Belmont. Ambulance 6 transported the stabbing victim to Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 4:39AM. This is just the latest case of stabbings in a neighborhood where knife attacks are becoming the preferred method off attack for thugs. Case #HW329893

A third victim of the Belmont bullshit fled to the safety of his home at Broadway and Addison before calling 911 to report the incident at 4:37 AM.

UPDATE 30 JUNE 2013: Added case number and refined location of the stabbing incident.
