12:04AM: Officers arrested a customer for fighting inside F.O. Mahoney’s bar, 3701 N. Broadway.

1:29AM: A cashier at the Shell/Circle K, 801 W. Addison reported that three black male "kids," one in a striped shirt, one in a red shirt, and one in a black shirt, stole taffy from the store. Officers located the nascent night owls two blocks away in the 3400 block of N. Halsted.  No charges filed.

  1. That gas station coddles them and accepts their loitering too so they have no business complaining.

  2. "Officers located the nascent night owls two blocks away in the 3400 block of N. Halsted. No charges filed."

WTF???? Not even a slap on the wrist? They got a "slide," a "free ride?"
Typical. So nice to know thugs now are immune to the laws that govern the rest of us.

  3. "No charges filed." Hmmmm must remember to quote this story and see what their reason was. I mean, are we talking 10 year-olds...are you talking the "transient youths (aged 15-24)"? sheesh

  4. Regarding the decision to release the "kids," we suspect the store did not want to proceed with any additional action.

Thank you for being a part of CWB.

  5. Someone needs to compile a list of crime accommodating businesses in Boystown.
